Safety and verification
Kiddions Mod Menu is an unsigned desktop overlay. Windows will sometimes treat that as suspicious even when the file is the official kiddions_mod_menu_v1.0.1_x64.zip. This page tells you which prompts are expected, which patterns mean you should delete the file, and why this developer site will never ask you to disable antivirus.

How Windows security prompts look for Kiddions
On Windows 10 and 11 the first launch often hits SmartScreen because Kiddions Mod Menu is not an EV-signed installer from a store. The blue or grey dialog is not a virus verdict. It is “this publisher is unknown”. Recent Windows 11 builds may also involve Smart App Control; if the overlay never starts and Event Viewer mentions SAC, that policy — not a “broken Kiddions” — is the cause. The guide still wants administrator UAC; that prompt is elevation, not malware theatre.
Defender, Kaspersky, and browser Safe Browsing regularly flag unsigned overlays. That can be a false positive or a real trojan. You cannot tell from a YouTube screenshot. You can tell from the filename, the ZIP type, and a hash you computed yourself.
What to check on the file
- Name. Official package:
kiddions_mod_menu_v1.0.1_x64.zip. NotKiddionsSetup.exe, notkiddions.rar, not a 32-bit build. - Type. Properties → Type of file → ZIP archive. If the extension is hidden, enable extensions before you trust the icon.
- Architecture. x64 only. An “x86” or “ARM” Kiddions is not this line.
- Contents. After extract, you should not find password stealers, coin miners, or “free V-bucks” extras. If you do, the ZIP did not come from this site.
Story Mode versus Online
Kiddions Mod Menu is documented for Story Mode. Attaching anything to GTA Online can violate Rockstar terms, trip BattlEye, and restrict the account. God mode and teleport in public lobbies get you reported. This safety page is not a loophole list. See the Online warning if someone told you otherwise.
Signals of a fake Kiddions page
Mirrors copy documentation wording and then serve a different binary. Disqualifying on sight: a download button that is not a direct ZIP, a version number that does not say 1.0.1, a requirement to join Discord for a key, inflated “10 million downloads” counters, and any instruction to disable real-time protection. Compare the domain and the filename against this official developer site before you click Run anyway.
We will not tell you to disable antivirus.
